How are your bike frames constructed?
At Electric Bike Company, our custom e-cruiser frames are a testament to innovation and quality. We use aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum, known for its superior strength and lightweight features. Unlike standard bikes with 1.5mm frame thickness, our frames boast a robust 3mm thickness in most parts, providing unmatched durability. We precisely spec our welds to accommodate this extra thickness, ensuring stronger and more reliable welds. Recognizing the unique demands of electric bikes, especially the torque from the motor, our frames feature a forged dropout, stronger than those in regular bicycles, ensuring the frame can withstand the additional stress. Additionally, we've revolutionized the headset design by welding brackets directly onto it. This modification means any added baskets or racks are attached to the frame, not the handlebars, enhancing stability and steering safety. For electric bikes, cable management is also crucial; we've engineered our frames with dedicated pathways for wires, protecting them from wear and potential damage during rides.
