Under these conditions, rear hub motors are a superior option for American riders, offering better performance and power for both pedal-assist and throttle use. Additionally, it's important to note that mid-drive motors are generally more expensive – almost 5 times more than hub motors. They also tend to incur higher costs in maintenance and repair.
